Description
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to Arduino-based smart systems, combining both theoretical concepts and extensive hands-on practical sessions to ensure a well-rounded learning experience. It begins with the fundamentals of smart systems, helping students understand their structure, components, and real-world applications. The course then introduces the Arduino Uno platform, including its pin configuration, basic programming, and essential functions required for building embedded systems. Students learn basic input and output interfacing techniques, along with LCD display integration for visual data representation. The course further explores a wide range of sensors, including digital sensors, light sensors (LDR), temperature sensors (LM36), potentiometers, and ultrasonic sensors. Each topic is supported by practical sessions that allow students to interface these sensors with Arduino and understand how to collect and process real-time data. Moving forward, the course covers actuators and motor control, including relays for switching applications, DC motors for speed and direction control, stepper motors for precise movement, and servo motors for accurate positioning. In the final module, students are introduced to wireless connectivity technologies and home automation concepts, enabling them to build simple smart systems and remotely control devices. Throughout the course, practical sessions are closely aligned with theoretical topics, ensuring that students gain strong hands-on experience and confidence in developing real-world Arduino-based projects.
