This advanced-level course is designed for students who have a solid foundation in the basics of Bharatanatyam and are ready to delve deeper into the art with greater intensity and discipline.At this stage, the focus shifts to refining technique, developing stage presence, and mastering the complex aspects of performance. Students will be trained in advanced Adavus (step combinations), intricate rhythm structures, and demanding footwork patterns. The emphasis is also on deepening Abhinaya-the expressive component of Bharatanatyam-through emotional interpretation of classical compositions and storytelling.Key components of the course include:Advanced Adavus and extended sequencesJathis and Korvais: Intricate rhythmic passages and creative choreographyAbhinaya: Exploring facial expressions, body language, and emotional depthTala and Laya: Mastering rhythm cycles and coordinationThematic presentations: Choreography based on mythological and contemporary themesPerformance skills: Stage awareness, energy control, and audience engagementPhysical and mental conditioning: Strength, stamina, flexibility, and mindfulness in movementThe course aims to help students become confident performers who can maintain the technical precision and spiritual essence of Bharatanatyam.
