The music of this soundtrack was inspired by the historical context of the coup d'état and military dictatorship in Chile (1973-1990) and also by the roots of the "New Chilean Song", a protest genre that was censored and persecuted during this period.

The music of this Soundtrack is inspired by great references of this genre such as Victor Jara, Quilapayún, Inti Illimani and Violeta Parra, but mainly by the influence of the Chilean composer Luis Advis, author of La Cantata de la Escuela Santa María de Iquique, taking elements of Andean and Latin American music and mixing them with orchestral and cinematic elements.
