1975 in Birmingham gegründet, wurden Steel Pulse schnell zu einer der angesagtesten Roots Reggae-Bands Englands. Die Band um Sänger und Gitarrist David Hinds kam als Sextett nach Köln und spielte ein Roots Reggae-Konzert erster Sahne. Auf ihrer Setlist hatten sie Songs wie "Bad Man", "Tribute To The Martyrs" oder "Reggae Fever".
