Ulises (Jordi Mollà) ist kürzlich in einer kleinen Küstenstadt angekommen, um als Literaturlehrer zu unterrichten. Er entdeckt die mediterrane Sinnlichkeit im Meer, im Aroma der Orangen und in den Kartoffeln, die Martina (Leonor Watling) ihm zubereitet. Er verliebt sich heftig in sie.
