Schiller - Symphonia [Limited Super Deluxe Edition] (2014) DVD
In autumn, Germany's most successful electronics artist Schiller publishes a unique work with Symphonia: the live recording of the open-air concert at the legendary Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin.
The unique live event is a very special premiere: for the first time, Schiller maker Christopher von Deylen has performed the most striking songs of his long-standing work together with a large symphony orchestra.
Songs such as longing, a beautiful day or the glockenspiel have been completely redesigned for this occasion - Schiller's electronic sound worlds meet epic orchestral arrangements.
In addition to the orchestra consisting of over 60 musicians, Christopher von Deylen has invited international guest artists: Midge Ure (frontman of British electronic pop pioneers Ultravox), Swiss Jaël and Russian exceptional soprano Eva Mali. Together with the Count von Unheilig, Schiller has performed the title song of the number one album Sonne live for the first time.
Symphonia documents this once-in-a-lifetime evening with an elaborately designed Super Deluxe box.
The limited edition box set includes the impressive concert film on Blu-Ray and DVD as well as two audio CDs with atmospheric live recordings of the event.
The Super Deluxe Box is complemented by a hardcover book designed with great attention to detail with exclusive photos and an elegant slipcase.
