The Phoneheads get some great accompaniment here -- a full symphony orchestra joining in with their core mix of guitar, keyboards, turntables, and vocals from Cleveland Watkiss! The sound is somewhat abstract at points -- certainly more so than Cleveland's previous soul -- and the presence of the orchestra gives the best tunes a really majestic feel -- a style that's nicely complicated, and which gets past the simple electronics or downtempo modes you might expect from the group.
