This course offers a complete, hands-on introduction to nonlinear structural analysis using OpenSeesPy-the Python interface to the OpenSees framework, widely used in academia and industry for advanced simulation of civil structures. Whether you're a graduate student, practicing engineer, or researcher, this course will help you build the skills necessary to simulate realistic structural behavior under a variety of loading conditions.Starting from the fundamentals, you'll learn how to install and configure OpenSeesPy, write clean and efficient modeling scripts, and understand key commands and modeling strategies. As the course progresses, you'll dive into nonlinear static and dynamic analysis for a variety of systems including cables, moment frames, and shear walls.
