In this self-paced course, you will learn key English vocabulary and functional phrases for common interactions between health professionals and patients. This course is aimed at anyone who needs to communicate with patients and / or healthcare colleagues in an English-speaking setting, and provides relevant topics and language for those working towards taking the OET (Occupational English Test). It focuses on typical situations healthcare professionals need to understand and react to, such as:asking about and understanding painusing the Calgary-Cambridge medical consultation frameworktaking vital signssummarising patient cases giving bad news using the SPIKES protocolLessons contain useful and frequent vocabulary, put this vocabulary into context through audio recordings and support memory through transcripts, extra practice tasks and role-plays.
