Description
An understanding of technical analysis is essential for any participant who wishes to make money through stock or options trading. Unlike investors, traders do not have an open-ended time frame; they must square off their trades within a period to make gains. Technical analysis is the perfect tool that gives you this timing.
It all works on the concept that prices discount everything, even the fundamentals like a company's mergers and acquisitions news, which should reflect as a rise or fall in prices, would just prove that. It also anticipates how the smart money leaves important trails or cues behind and how we, as individuals or retail traders, can use that info to improve our chances of making money.
It also works on the principle that history repeats itself, and by knowing how the stock reacted to a similar situation in the past, one could predict how it would react when such a situation arises in the future.
Also note: technical analysis is not a foolproof model and could be right only 50% of the time or lower. As a trader, it is best to use a risk management strategy to minimize losses when they occur.
The course is led by Balachandran Viswaram, who is a SEBI registered investment adviser and a research analyst.
