Description
Korugi is not just a massage - it's a whole ceremony composed of several stages:1. Leg WorkThe procedure begins with leg stimulation. This isn't merely a foot massage, but a purposeful method focused on muscle relaxation and improving blood circulation. Gentle pressure and kneading activate energy points connected to the body's meridian channels, preparing the entire system for deeper impact. Enhanced blood flow in the legs helps reduce swelling, which can otherwise manifest in the face.2. Activation of Regional Lymph NodesThis stage is key for detoxification. Gentle yet confident lymphatic drainage movements stimulate the lymphatic system. Special attention is given to areas under the jaw, along the neck, and around the supraclavicular region. Activating these lymph nodes promotes the removal of excess fluid and toxins, improving complexion and reducing puffiness.3. Scalp Fascia (Aponeurosis) ReleaseThe scalp fascia (also known as the epicranial aponeurosis) is a dense connective structure covering the skull. Tension in this area may lead to headaches, reduced blood circulation, and distortion of facial contours. The practitioner works delicately yet thoroughly to release this tension, improving cranial bone mobility.4. Facial WorkThis is the core modeling stage, where the face's contours are reshaped. Deep but controlled pressure and gliding movements are used to influence the bone structure beneath. Blood circulation is stimulated, promoting collagen and elastin production - leading to a natural lifting effect.5. Cranial Bone AdjustmentThis stage is the heart of Korugi. The practitioner works directly with the skull bones, gently shifting them into proper alignment. These micro-adjustments restore balance and bring harmony to the facial structure. This phase requires high expertise and a deep understanding of anatomy.6. Mask Application and BandagingTo complete the session, a special mask is applied to enhance the massage's effects. The face is then gently bandaged to fix the achieved result and support the new contours. The elastic bandage reduces swelling and helps maintain the repositioned bones.
