JUZZ is the band led by Galician guitarist Virxilio da SILVA, a name initially more associated with the jazz scene, although he cannot be limited to that musical genre alone. Virxilio, in addition to having collaborated on numerous recordings and concerts as a sideman throughout his career, is co-leader of bands such as LOIROS (Galicia), THE MANUELES (Galicia), FUZZO (Galicia), FOXY FREIRE (Galicia), and STEEL SHEEP Sheep (Netherlands), which reflect the stylistic variety in which this musician feels particularly comfortable.
With this new project, he presents his most recent work, the result of years of research and experimentation, with music whose influences range from the most psychedelic and acid rock of the late 1960s to jazz, including the most experimental avant-garde pop, noise, and stoner rock. A music whose maxim is the search for freedom beyond its classification in a specific genre, and which aspires, above all, to manifest its subversive essence.
