Jeffrey Ericson Allen is a composer, cellist and electronic music performer from Oregon, USA. He has an extensive and diverse background in classical, new acoustic and theatrical music production. His contemplative art music has been featured on nationally renowned radio programs including Hearts of Space, Echoes, Galactic Travels, Ultima Thule and Star’s End.

The early creative period is hushed up in the official biography. Jeffrey’s first works were released under the name Jeff Defty. His first cassette album, Primeval Mind, was released back in 1985 on his own label, Shabda. In 1992, the album Vanish Into Blue was released on the Neptune Music label, which was also founded by the author. In 1997, the third album, The Descent of Inanna, was released. In 1998, Jeffrey formed the instrumental group Confluence with flutists Alan McCullough and Alice Burke-Kammerer, guitarist Christopher Forrest McDowell, harpist Laura Zaerr, and himself on cello, keyboards and recorder. The group released two albums: Sanctuary (1998) and Amber Moon (2002) - in the genre of instrumental new age with Celtic motifs. In 2012, the Chronotope Project appeared, which presents the author as the creator of modern progressive ambient music. "Chronotope" refers to the essential unity of space and time, a concept that has many expressions in literature, physics and art. The music of the Chronotope Project explores this fusion of time and space and invites the listener to ambient journeys with a deep texture, filled with gentle pulsating rhythms and soulful melodies.
