Qualitativ kaum von drei mal so großen Dateien zu unterscheiden,
auch Dank des neuen x265-Codecs, der allerdings nicht von allen Geräten abgespielt werden kann.

Wenn ihr diese Hürde allerdings meistern könnt, bekommt ihr wirklich sehr gute Qualität bei einer sehr geringen Größe.
Ich spreche hiermit also alle an, die wenig Speicherplatz und/oder eine langsame Internetleitung haben;
oder wer sich einfach mal davon überzeugen möchte, dass man auch mit geringen Dateigrößen ein schönes Erlebnis haben kann.

Für den siebzehnjährigen Greg Gaines (Thomas Mann) ist jede Art von Geselligkeit ein lästiges Übel, von dem er sich längst, soweit es geht, verabschiedet hat.
Die einzige Ausnahme stellen Treffen mit seinem Kumpel Earl (RJ Cyler) dar, mit dem er einer gemeinsamen Leidenschaft frönt: Sie drehen als Hommage an ihre Lieblingswerke Kurzfilme. Während Greg es eigentlich so unsichtbar wie möglich durch die High School schaffen will, ist seine Mutter anderer Meinung. Sie drängt ihn dazu, Zeit mit seiner Mitschülerin Rachel (Olivia Cooke) zu verbringen, bei der kürzlich Leukämie diagnostiziert wurde. Zunächst sind weder er noch Rachel von der Einmischung begeistert, die auch fürchtet, dass Greg sie nur aus Mitleid besucht.
Doch als Greg klarstellt, dass er nur auf das Drängen seiner Mutter hin da ist, ist der Weg frei für eine sich langsam anbahnende Freundschaft, die das Leben von beiden verändern soll.
