Man kann es gleich sagen: Es geht um das Märchen, wie der lustige Pischta eine Braut nach seinem Herzen sucht und findet. Ein schönes, ein liebes und ein treues Mädchen soll es sein. Ein alter Mann erzählt ihm, es gäbe schon so eine, die seinen Vorstellungen entspricht. Aber wer sie zur Frau bekommen möchte, an den dürfe sie wohl einige Bedingungen stellen. Dass diese Bedingungen nicht ganz einfach sind, das kennt man ja aus Märchen. Aber wenn die Braut als ein Huhn in der Gegend herumgackert und nur für eine einzige Stunde am Tag Menschengestalt annimmt, dann kann man ahnen, was dem jungen Mann abverlangt wird. Allerdings in dieser einen Stunde schaut ihm ein wunderhübsches Mädchen in die Augen.
