The book's first volume was intended to be a compact one to carry around as part of the sketcher's kit, besides keeping the cost affordable, especially for countries like India. The valuable feedback and the reader's reviews received on different platforms have necessitated this sequel as a continuation of the previous one, as applications of the 7 steps approach in different situations. It is presumed that the reader has access to Volume 1 of the book, therefore, reference is made to the previous book wherever needed.
I hope that its step-by-step structured 7-step process approach will make it easier and faster for you to sketch especially on-location. Even though we appreciate the works of most artists, there are some whose works we relate to more, and whose styles and techniques we would like to emulate. One way is to attend their workshops or see their videos. In this book, I have taken the example of my favorite sketcher Ian Fennelly, with his kind permission, to analyze his process, style, and technique, emulate it, and finally, fuse various elements in my process/style. Another leading sketcher and perspective guru Stephanie Bower has also blessed the book. I have also included the process of sketches of four of my fellow sketchers from the USA and India to expand the flavors.
While I would like the feedback on the two volumes to continue, I would also like to hear what more readers would like to be included in future editions.
